  • Yes! The Garden House can easily be enclosed with our canvas drapes in the case of inclement weather.

  • Yes. When the contract is signed, 50% of the rental fee is due and reserves your date. This fee is non-refundable after 24 hours. The final installment will be required 90 days prior to the event. Full payment is due by the specified due date. We also reserve the right to request a credit card on file for any damages to the facility or grounds.

  • Email us at carrie@feltonranch.com with your preferred date.

    We suggest you included a backup date in case your preferred date is unavailable. Prior to booking a date, we hope you can come and visit us in person at the ranch.

    You can request a private tour on our TOURS PAGE, but an in-person tour is not required prior to the booking date.

    Dates are reserved on a first contract requested basis.

  • Yes, we kindly ask that you schedule a private tour ahead of time. Click here to schedule.

  • No, we provide a Venue Manager onsite to assist your hired professional team.

  • Yes, a licensed Day of Coordinator is required to ensure your wedding goes off without a hitch.

  • Yes, we require a $1,000,000 day-of-event insurance policy with Felton Ranch listed as the additional insured to be returned with your contract. The approximate cost is $200.

  • Yes, we require you to provide security for your event and can be purchased through Hays County Sheriff’s Department Precinct 4 | 512-393-7700 or Constable Ron Hood at 512-858-7605

  • Yes! We only host one wedding each day to ensure that each couple's event is special and receives our full attention.

  • Yes! The Sleep Inn and Suites is 9 miles away as well as closer local options. We’re happy to discuss other options.

  • Yes, we’re pet friendly! Whether it’s your dog or your horse, for the duration of your event animals must remain with a responsible adult and on a leash/halter. All pets must be pre-approved by Carrie or John prior to your event.

  • Yes! Our vendors have been vetted and know how to navigate our unique space.

    You ARE NOT required to choose vendors from this list.

Catering

  • You’re welcome to have the caterer of your choice as long as they’re licensed professionals. If you’d like suggestions, we have a list of caterers who work well in our unique space.

  • Yes, it's most effective for couples to work directly with their caterer. Simply book your big day with Felton Ranch and reach out to the caterers of your choice to schedule a tasting and get the ball rolling!

  • No. Since we are a raw space venue your catering and beverage will be provided by a separate vendor of your choice.

Planning

  • Music on Friday's/Saturday's must end promptly by 10:30 p.m. to ensure that you, all of your items, and all of your vendors are off-property by midnight. Music on Sundays must end by 9:30 p.m. to be off property by 11:00 pm.

  • Yes, candles are allowed as long as the flame is completely contained in a candle holder. Tapered candles and any type of hanging candles will not be allowed for safety reasons.

  • No. These items will be part of your custom design according to your unique style. We provide an awesome venue, tables, and white garden chairs.

  • Yes! We have 4 rectangular tables onsite that can be used for your gift table, head table, etc.

  • 80 cars

  • Rental periods start at 2:00 pm. unless you’ve made other arrangements with us. Please see your contract for details specific to your wedding and plan accordingly.

  • No, All deliveries must happen during the standard rental period. Please advise your vendors of this policy.

  • Hays County Clerks Office The address is 712 S. Stagecoach Trail Ste. 2008 San Marcos, TX The phone number is (512) 393-7738 8:00 am-4:30 pm. Both the bride and groom must go and you'll need your driver’s licenses and your social security numbers.

  • No vehicles can be left overnight. Please advise your guests of this policy and make appropriate transportation plans. The gates will be locked at midnight and remain locked at other times. We appreciate your understanding.

  • No. We’re a sustainable wedding venue so we’re fully aware of droughts and burn bans are unpredictable in the Texas Hill Country. It’s a precaution we take to prevent wildfires.

  • Between 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and is dependent on sunset and time of year.
